There is something wonderful and inspiring in John's work - I agree with you. Realism is the word....(Maybe?) |

I started viewing all photos on this site from A to Z and came across this beauty. I know this build is a few years old but the research and craftsmanship on this model is unbelievable. I think all on this site should take a couple of minutes and study John's work on this build. |

Wood ashes from the wood burner, water, a small drop of dish wash detergent, a tad of this, and a dot of that. I thought of eye of newt but decided against it. Dry brushed, and burnished. Covered and sealed with a light layer of Krylon. |

OK. I just spent 20 minutes going through the build thread looking for how you weathered the Pfalz. One picture it's a shiny new infant and the next it's a dirty old man like me. I'm not sure how I got here so fast either, but it was fun! Would you mind explaining a bit? |

This is a short engine details not seen are at times, not required. You need to fabricate one with a smaller scale |

That's wot I need - think I'll just copy the picture and paste it onto a bit of card for my build. You are in a league of your own John...... |

Crimps for cable are avaialbe in various colors and sizes. Al crimps are just thin tubing that I cut with a knife. |

Are the eyelets and Al tube crimp available at craft stores as well?
