Thanks, Jedi. That's a lot simpler than my concoction. Those gear are great! I agree with you, the details are the fun stuff and you have the touch. I don't agree with your last thought though, yours is just a good and I'm looking forward to seeing your B-17. |

Thanks Mr. Wilson, me too. I run a recording studio when I'm not building planes. And have started to get into sculpting. |

Nice work. I looked back on your thread. I always enjoy carving the nose cones. hate doing panel lines. That`s one hell of a drum set. Guitars are my other interest. I have a few. Cheers |

Well, I glued a stringer to the bottom of the canopy. And made a slot for it to ride in. The landing gear, I made a U shaped hook that if you punch it together it pops out of two holes in the wheel well. I also used a tube on top of another piece of solid pipe so the tire can turn and lay flat when up. I will try and post some close up picks of both. |

It looks like we got the same results with different methods. How did you get the canopy to slide, but stay on? I glued a tube to the inside bottom and ran a wire for it to slide on. Works, but not real tight. I've got pics of the landing gear in my build. How did you hold them in place and also get the movement from down to retracted? |

Sure Don, what would you like details on? |

Really nice work! I can see that I need to learn how to do panel lines. Took me a long time to figure out the canopy slide and retracts. I've studied your photos, but can you give me a little more detail, please. |

Thanks John and Brian, hey it only took ....what 4-5 years to complete. LOL actualy I had put it on the back burner for a while (4 years) but again I am back in the game. |

They do, as a matter of fact this was one of the reasons it took me so long to get it finished. I was trying to figure out how to make that happen. |
