you hit the nail right on the head I always use fuel proof dope i been a dope man all my life, i mix 50 50 half butraite and half nitraite if you use full strength butraite dope the wings of this ship would look like a propeller. It is a shape Pactra dont make any more of this dope everything nowdays is monokoat or just white glue with Krylon clear.I never flew a Cox Pt 19 I remember it had rubber bands to hold it together when you wiped it out on a crash the ship would fall appart all you had to do is wrap more rubber bands. Most of my gas jobs are free flight.the Areo gloss dope was airbrushed on 6 coats the ship was dovered with Sigs light silk. thank you very much again viewing my fokker I am honered. |

It probably flew better than that big plastic PT 19. I remember that plane. The only plastic one I ever saw that really flew really well was the Little Stinker with the 020. Sterling had some great kits, I had the Great Lakes Hal Pitts Special and a Peashooter that came out really great. This is really a very nice build. The finish looks pretty decent, looks like you fuel-proofed. |

I believe your right this is a Cox 0.49 I had durring the years of the hobby I accumilated a bunch of gas motors for free flight, this motor came off an old Cox PT 19 trainer mt wife bought from a garage sale. I took it off the ppane and used it on the fokker. this ppane has flown over a dozen times a great stable flyer. with the high lift of the third wing makes this ship a real floater. ir flies in a left hand circle and when she poops out of fuel she has right hand glide pattern. I can trim her with rudder and stabilizer. I been thinking about installing a couple mini servos for miniture radio control just a thought for now thank you for viewing my Tri plane Boats. |

Looks like a "Thimbledrome" engine inside that shroud! |
