A snapshot I have, taken in 1947, shows me with my models of a Spitfire, Stuka and the Sikorsky helicopter. Must have been an earlier Comet kit. Remember when those kits cost only 50 cents? |

Didn't think there would be any of these kits still around. I built this Comet model back in the mid 1940's when I was 12 years old. |

Cool! USCG Air Station San Francisco; I flew there from 2004 - 2008! We flew HH-65B and C models, though - a little more advanced than these. They've got a great display with models of all the fixed wing and most of the modern helicopters that have operated there, but I don't think they have this one. |

42" leghth will give me an 80" rotor diameter. I don't think I can make it much bigger than that... |
