Gentlemen...thank you for the kind words. You'd have to subtract 16 from 1949 to get my birthdate. At that time it was the "Cats Meow!!" |

In 1949 I had a job. Most kids did. I shoveled coal into an auger for the home heating system. This kit probably cost 50 cents. Haircuts were $.75 for a kid. And a nickel got you any candy bar in the store. This is a gorgeous rendition. Really a great build. As we used to say, "The Cat's Ass!" |

Wonderful rendition. Nice to see this forgotton kit constructed in such a fine fashion. Where does one find old Comet kits? |

I need to start stopping at the yard/garage sales... I always pass them and say to my self, "No way they have any balsa planes". Silly me... |

LUKE....This is a vintage Guillows kit (#50-7) which is no longer available retail. The plans are dated 1949. This was passed on to me by our own John Oshust. (See my hangar for a pic of the kit and plans.)
To ALL others, thank you for the kind words. |

Looking great! Nice to see another Monocoupe. Just landed in St. Louis an hour ago and there is a full size one in the terminal. I'll get a photo on my return trip later this week. |
