inspiration and aspiration...You, Mr. Oshust are a steely eyed fabricator |

Very revealing on how well you fabricated the machine gun. I saved a British publication on plastic models that features a full page ad on various 1/32 scale machines. Keeping the mag for future reference (& now yours) show I build a biplane model featuring machine guns. Very good work & attention to detail! -Sky |

John, still the "New Kid" on the block on this forum, so my input will be outdated, but I've seen several of your builds that easily identifies your style. Very detailed & realistic & thinking outside of the box. Very creative with the style of weathering techniques. Really enjoyed that. -Sky |

Yup. And also needs to watch over his shoulder for von Richthofen. Piece of cake. |

So now the pilot gets a bath in castor oil, dodges two dangling cables, and gets pelted with empty cartridge shells. Through all this concentrate on flying! |

Don't Ya just love the old simple ways? |

Don C, rayl..I knew I had a photo with an explanation but I had not posted it in my tread, I was slightly amiss, I used a ringed handle to operate the lowering mechanism and a wooden "T" type handle on the trigger wire. I think you can see both remote devices in this photo. BTW , Lewis guns could not be equipped with a synchronizing gear or cam enabling them to fire through an air screw! |

Very nice, John. Thanks for posting it. |

Don c,
I knew I previously fabricated a Lewis gun. What I learned from this attempt will be added to a couple of guns for Ogre!;-) |

Constructing "Luda" was much easier than refurbishing my garden shed:) Spaceba! English letters as the site does not recognize the Cyrillic alphabet...oh hum... discrimination rears its ugly head:)

Tying up up some loose ends before I go to "sleep away" camp. Luda the Nieuport 17 bis has left the shop and is in a temporary home in my den. Luda can be seen flying past a photo of my "Wuffy!" |

The details are absolutely amazing!! The weathering really sets it off as being a well used machine. The master craftsmanship makes this a model any museum would be glad to have. JFB!!!!! |
