As far as E-bay Goes with purchasing planes, don't buy from anybody who claims they don't know anything about the plane they are selling and that it "APPEARS TO BE COMPLETE" when it actually only contains the leftovers of the cutouts! BELIEVE ME, Anj has learned this lesson more than once! Hence, "THE TOMHAS MORSE RIPOFF". |

eBay can be a gamble and I try not to bid on anything that does not have a photo of the kit contents. I once won a Guillow's DH-4 kit that was listed as "New in the box" and it looked about like this kit when I opened it, except no directions. I got a refund so I don't feel ripped off, just that my time was wasted. |

yeah buddy I was born in Germany, and moved here in '56. I also have three years of german 1, So that explains the Explosionszeichnung, when I opened the Box |

If you definitely want the kit, it's still on sale here in Germany. See www.graupner.com, Amazon in Germany lists it for EUR 36,--. Frankly, I think the Graupner kits are pretty expensive but are worth it. What I like most about the plans is the "Explosionszeichnung" (explosion drawing ...?) which you can see here on the upper left, partly covered. |

It was called Night and White and was adopted during the Battle of Britian when it was discovered that both anti-aircraft gunners and fighter pilots were somewhat lacking in aircraft identification skills. Now you would think that the Spitfire would be not be a subject of any confused identification, but they had the Heinkel 112 in their silouette books. There were several claims of Heinkel 112 kills during the Battle of Britian that may have been Spitfires shot down in friendly fire incidents. |

Not bad at all. I like the early paint scheme. |

I like the black and light underside scheme. I saw some examples of that on the web when researching color schemes for my spit. |

If he had asked his GIRLFRIEND about the order of painting this plane, he would have done it right the first time..but as someone has commented on my plane. . . .

First attempt at using my new airbrush - not bad for the first time. |

I should have painted the bottom first, guess I had to learn the hard way. |
