Yes, I remember that one. Very nice. I think I must try a swinger. |

Richard, here are Cz-ap markings that we did on an Avia C-99 swinger we built a while back. |

Thanks for sharing your experience with your Hurricane and your comments. I'm glad that it flew well for you. |

After finishing a motor mount for one of my rc planes, I took some of your advice and attached a foam Hawker Hurricane to an old fishing pole. It has about a six inch wingspan. I added a small strip of balsa down the fuse, some clay to the nose and about ten feet of line. It flew like a dream! A great deal of fun with only a few minutes effort. Thanks for taking the time to put you pics and information on the web. I think it is important to keep these kind of things alive. I find it interesting to see more and more people taking up the "older" hobbies. |

All right now, Simpleflyer. These are starting to look like way more fun than they should. Can you give me the "Skinny" on this Tether flying (did this with your Javelin?)? Line length, are you using a pole or something to whip them around, launching, trimming? Looks like it's got a bit of altitude there. If you haven't seen this site yet, get ready for some "Save picture as" time. You'll know what I mean. Don't forget to

Skeletom view of the S-99. |

When the nose doublers are glued together, the central slot will become a hole in the nose into which I can insert BBs or other stuff to balance the model. The S-99 will be a swing control model like the Javelin and modified Cloud Buster in my VA 'hangar'. |

You might be interested to know that Westwings makes several rubber powered aircraft of similiar construction except for flat wood wings. Spitfire, Mustang, Fw 190A. I got them from Shorty's Basement. Haven't tried them but they look like fun to fly. Unfortunately I live in an apartment. |
