Like you, David, I'm surprised as well. These seem a bit exaggerated. I've read that the wing scallops on a SPAD are because the trailing edges are wire, that constrict once the fabric is coated. |

I remember walking the mile home uphill in the rain with a kit of this plane when I was about 13 or so with it tucked inside my coat. It was a much simpler kit than this one. |
