It's great to hear that your Avenger flew well for you. Our's flys well also. We added a bit of extra structure to ours so it turned out a tad heavy, but this gives it the extra mass to keep it out at the end of the line. That prop hub on ours is the head of a 3/16 bolt that we use as nose balance weight. Hope this good flying weather returns after this wet weekend and cold next week. Keep 'em flying. |

I just got done flying my little Avenger using your swing plane technique! Had to balance the plane before it would act right, but once done, it's even docile in that wind out there today! Thank you for teaching me how to do this, it's a gas! |

Covered and at least one coat of thinned white glue on all the surfaces. At this point we are anxious to see how it flys. |

Yes, I will fly the Avenger on a tether line as you discribe. We've flown a number of the Guillows models in this fashion and it works well. Check the simpleflyer hangar to see some of them. |

When you say a swinger do you mean a tethered flier as suggested in the old Comet plans - a sort of primitive control line flying. I've tried it with very small models in confined spaces and it works well. I suppose it would be possible to fly quite detailed models that would be too heavy to fly well on rubber power. |

Starting to look like an Avenger;-) |

Tail surfaces are removeable for storage and transportation. Small sections of square toothpick attached to the vertical and horizontal stab at A. Slots built into the tail of the fuselage to accept the toothpick stubs. |

Fuselage is almost complete. Extra sheeting at the nose and around the wing slot, as these areas are prone to damage in hard and unexpected impacts. |

And the color schemd. Guillows white tissue should work fine;o) |
