I confess..I frequent craft stores. In my area unless you race cars or fly helicopters the LHS is non existent. On the positive side there are many women in the craft stores😄😄 |

Yeah, the same craft stores you've used for years building your models. |

Craft stores, imagine that....thanks for the heads up:-) |

Thanks for the compliments on the Plane. I did not like the
paper printout for the instrument panel, so I cut out a piece
of balsawood in the shape of the panel. I then painted it in
a color that somewhat matched color of the instrument panels
on actual Sopwith Camels I saw on the Internet. I then cut out the dials from the Paper Panel and glued them to the balsawood Panel. I went to a craft store where hardware for
jewelry was sold and found small metal rings I used on the dials. I also found small magnetic necklace clasps that looked similar to the knobs found on a Sopwith Camel Panel.
I also found black stretchable line which I used for the rigging, and hardware that looked like turnbuckles. It's amazing what you can find at a craft store that will help in
building a model plane!
Thanks again,
Ken |

Thank you very much for the compliments. I am really not quite
finished with it as I have a little more rigging to install.
the "K" stands for the letter of my first name, and the "19"
is for the first two numbers of the year I was born.
Thanks again,
Ken |

Thanks for sharing pics of your work on V.A. Ditto on the comments. Significance of K - 19 : like K for Ken, etc.? |

Very nice work. I am in the middle of building a Camel as well. What did you use to make the instruments? |

Sweet...more camels here than at a desert oasis! Bactrian or dromadery? |
