It looks like you learned a lot with this kit. At least with the P-47 you won't have to worry about exposed wires. |

ZFinally finished. I learned a lot building this one. P-47 is next and will try to improve and use what I learned. Thanks to all whose information I've found invaluable. |

JC: after reviewing many, many of the building threads by some of the very creative artisans on theis forum, I thought I'd begin adopting some of their techniques. Being a newbie myself I'm experimenting. This filling of spaces gives you a much stronger and smoother finish. I suggest you review some of the builds in Dave Ducketts hanger. |

I'm building the camel as well, and was wondering how come you put that filler around the cockpit area? New to this balsa building so just needing some clarification.

Fine stainless steel wire from the hobby shop, cut to length works for me. I used this on my PT-17 and have used on plastic kits also. |

I concur on using the least number of different strands, and drilling little holes with a pin. I used one strand of fishing line on my Tiger Moth. |

This is an impossible task that I learned on my Camel. Use fine guage piano or music wire. I have used it for rigging on all my builds. I replaced the floral wire with music wire on my Camel. |

I find an excellent way to run rigging is to drill tiny holes in the spars ( with a pin), pull cording through ( I use the cord that came with the Wright flyer kit) hit one end with CA, pull tight through the second hole, then hit that with CA, I strung my entire Thomas Moore Scout with two strands doing it this way,
