my painting goes by the seasons, in the winter I usually have to wait till the basement temperature hovers around 65*. I can get it to warm up some with heaters. |

Brian I started this one in Jan 2020 and usually have a scratch build or partial kit going on the side. I guess I should work on my quality rather than quantity. |

building them pretty quickly! |

Pretty nice model layout! Looks like it could be in the mountains up here.

A lot of glare in that shot. Check my DC-3 folder for a better shot. That's actually a model railroad photo. |

Nice work. Picture looks like it could be the Northern Pacific up north of me. |

Trying to finish B-25 if I can stay away from D7. Some cockpit window painting and cleanup left. A few decals and propellers still to do but moving right along. |

Back to waiting on the 25. This one should be interesting. |

Oops got sidetracked again. Got this one on ebay for a song. Some missing parts, no problem. Did anyone else notice all the irregularities in the plans of this model? |

Yes. thin it with water apply to balsa and use it on wet tissue to smooth out the ends.

Thanks, ed. Was the glue thinned with water and applied to the balsa or just soaked through the wet tissue. I've never used the glue before but it looks like the results are every bit as good as the dope and without the odor. Looking forward to seeing the final finish. |

I used Elmer's white glue for this model. I use Eze Dope at times but usually save it for primer coats. |

What did you use as an adhesive for the tissue? Clear dope? |
edbecky, Comment for image # 41856 | 21 Feb 20 12:38 |
I bought the kit open so I'm not positive if it's the tissue that came with it but I'm pretty sure. It did cover well, I've had success putting the tissue on wet. Brian thanks for the kind words. The kit is a neat kit. |

looks like a neat looking kit! may get in myself. your doing great! |
biplane guy, Comment for image # 41856 | 20 Feb 20 13:06 |
Is that the tissue supplied with the kit? It covered really well. |
