Thanks Poppy!! The weathering is a bit heavy but I like em looking "well worked". I do use an airbrush and pastels. |

'Tis a beauty! Well done, Rod. The weathering effect, blast marks, and chipped prop edges give her that well used look and all are nicely done. I am guessing that you use an airbrush? I also like the conversion to the cannon nose, 75MM as I remember. |

They are all 1/32 scale, the 2 planes underneath the Mitchell are a CAC Winjeel and Aeromacchi MB-3325 trainer which I scratch-built last year. The rest are injection moulded kits off the shelf except for the Sea Fury which is an old vac-form kit. |

A beautiful piece of craftsmanship. It's hard to believe this is wood and not injection molded. Details well done. Super!! |

Thanks Moostang51, the gills are made from 0.25mm polystyrene sheet. I will airbrush exhaust stains and some panel fading, dry brush paint chips and worn paint, oil wash the panel lines and Tamiya weathering pastels for grime and dirt. |

Nice photo, love the seperation of the cowling gills. What are you going to weather with? Pastels or maybe a little dry brushing? |
RodN, Image # 6204 | 29 Jan 08 16:35 |
After a quick wash down to remove any dust. |
