Thanks! Just need to find the time to finish.
Good day everyone and Happy New Year!!
Are there any members of VA around the Pittsburgh , PA area?
I was wondering if there are any FF/RC groups/clubs around town? |

I use a combination of a glue stick to get the tissue in place and then seal the edges with the 50/50 white glue. I would agree with scigs30, it's a matter of preference. |

The wood seems nice but the die cutting was not. Please explain the 8lb/ft reference. I am assuming it is the density of the wood. Is it 8 lbs for a 1 ft cube of balsa? |

All three methods work great, just have to pick the one you like and stick with it. So far the covering looks good. I have one of these kits, and the wood is excellent 8 lb/ft balsa. |

Both dope and white glue are well proven ways of applying tissue. I have a 10 year old model that is still holding well with 50/50 white glue. In my opinion, the big disadvantage of dope is the toxic fumes. I now, almost always use, a UHU glue stick - much easier than white glue and I have 9 year models where it is still keeping the tissue on tight. |

I think this is the direction I am taking for the paint and finish... |

Starting to work on my covering... Would any one like to comment on the pros and cons of applying tissue with dope vs. white glue? Seems working with 50/50 white glue allows for easier application but does it hold up over time, etc.? |
