Looks sweet, supercruiser. Any more pics? I'll move this into the correct aircraft category for you tonight. |

Kit tissue, the colors were chalked on the tissue prior to applying to the model. |

CA, super glue stuff. The white pieces are .010" styrene shims, to help tighten the fit of the hub. The hubs were milled on a Unimat lathe. I can't take credit for the method of manufacture, I got the idea from lennyz, on the Guillow discussion board. |

Neat idea, Paul, for a 4 bladed prop for small models. What glue do you use for the joint at the hub? |

Using a half -lap joint. Brilliant idea. I made mine using a straight cut and round file. The harder part was marking and cutting the sprinner for four notches at the correct pitch as Guillows marks out for three. I used one of their cut outs for a stencil and like yourself a quartered wood template for lining up the remaining cuts. For my Zero I bought a 4 blade prop and shaped it to scale. |

Built this in a motel room in lieu of TV. Great choice and I am sure it was more fun and rewarding;o) |

That's me. I need to post this photo in my Guillow yahoo album. Definitely planning on flying, can't recall it's weight right now. Adhesive for the tissue is 100% elmer's glue, a thin bead smeared on the outside edge of the frames. Applied the tissue dry. Then misted with water.I know that's heavy and somewhat crude. For some reason I just decided to try it that way. No painting. The tissue came gray, and the clear acrylic was sprayed directly onto the tissue. This model was fun. I built it mostly in a motel room, to keep me from watching too much TV. |

Thanks, are you Paul from the Guillows group at Yahoo? Your Mustang looks pretty light, are you planning to fly it? Let us know how it does. We noticed the same thing re the prominent canopy frames. For us it made papering the frames easier. Your covering job looks nice and taut; what did you use for adhesive and painting prior to spraying the clear acrylic. |

The antiglare and canopy frame is black tissue from a craft store. The grey tissue is what was supplied in the box and all the decals, waterslide from the kit. Clear acrylic was sprayed on prior to decal application. All the wood is kit wood. The canopy is homemade. The original canopy frames were to prominent for my tastes. I made a plaster cast of the original and trimmed off the raised frames from the plaster plug and then plunge molded the canopy. Thanks for the compliment, I see you've got a sharp looking 'stang here, also. |

Nice Mustang. What are the antiglare panel and black frames on the canopy, the white lettering and insignia? Is the tissue Guillows or domestic? |
