This was done to see if this series looked right. I did learn that the canopy included in the kit was actually used on one model. |

Wow! I just "discovered" Guillow's models here in Mexico and finished my first Lancer for my 5 years old son... he loved it. I'm a plastic modeller for a lot of years but just got inlove with balsa-tissue models... I hope soon will be building like you! Congratulations!!! |

Course I added a lot more but just making the sides from a solid piece of 1/16" made a huge difference. In fact I made all the pieces from 1/16" in building it the second time. The kit balsa was really soft. I like the kit but these are a bit too small for me. Still, for about $7, it's great entertainment. |

"1/20" balsa, too weak for me" I gotcha, Dave! My current 600 series Cub build is teaching me the same thing. The Cub may fly OK, but I am breaking a lot of wood in the construction phase. I am saving this pic and another of your Typhoon build for reference for a 900 series T-28 that I am also working on and future builds of small models. |

Great detailing David. The D-Day stripes continued onto the opened up landing gear offers tremendous realism. What's up next? |

That is, quite simply, stunning. |

Ok, just seen the answer! |

What about the tailwheel? |

The least and most expensive for comparison. The tailwheel for the Typhoon is the nose wheel from the plastic kit which gave me the B 29 nose wheels. |

These are called "identification stripes", not invasion stripes. |

Main wheels are lightweight foam, brand unknown |
