Dumas 200 series kits are not very detailed, but I am satisfied with what I could do with it. I realize there are many more Dauntless details that could be added such as found on the Guillow’s 1000 series model.

Back in the late 1940’s, I built a Dauntless with a 20” wingspan from a Comet kit, but did it in the WW 11 blue/gray colors., as Dumas kit #228 suggests. I just like this color scheme better!

The stringers are now on the wings. I think I'll wait to sand to shape and join the halves till after I've constructed the "action plan" details.

The printwood. It's marked as 1/16"and is supposed to be balsa but is in fact 1/32" basswood. Some of it is a bit warped but it will make excellent patterns.
