RTD, I've loaded two shots to show what I did with the tail. The N model has the horizontal stabiliser set in front of the pin (reverse in earlier P-40's) so I left the stabiliser where it was on the plans and added about a 2-3cm extension to what was previously the end of the fuselage. I left the fin (I think) in it's original shape but had to do some fiddling to get the rudder to match the fin. The fuselage between the stab and the fin is also different and I made custom pieces to represent this. Hope this helps and good luck with your build.
