Before attaching the string to the wingtip, we took the Lancer into the back yard and did a few test glides to determiine the CG required for smooth glide and added clay to the nose until such glide was attained. After attaching the line to the wing we took the Lancer for a few test flights and they went well.

The modified Lancer covered in red and green recycled Christmas wrap. This was our first try at using gluestick as tissue adhesive and we were pleasantly surprised how well and easy it works.

This shot was taken, standing in the center of the Helldiver's flight circle. The plane goes around fairly quickly so that one can get dizzy while tracking it with the camera.

The framing required about 5 hours. The leading edge is 3/8" x 1/8" but the wood provided was 1/4" x 1/8".
