BTW, it is Lindberg's infamous POS "Blue Devil" Fletcher class destroyer. All of the super-stucture will be scatch-built of Evergreen plasticard. Curses on the fellow who gifted it to me.

Interesting thing happened at the "Greatest County Fair" (Clay County, Iowa): I decided to take the OL-8 there for judging and entered it in the "Replica - Wood" category. The judge (and his seeing eye dog" disqualified it as it was "..Obviousley made of plastic because it did not show any wood grain...) ?????? What can I say?

DD: Coincidently, I am working on a 36 " span electric Ducted Fan Panther. Made entirely out of insulating fan foam board. Need to get the canopy installed and I'll be ready to crash, er, fly it.

I think that the Monokote experiment worked out. Don't know as if I will do it again. Thw wife has forbidden me to fly it as it is named after her and it's "cute".

Having "survived" 42 days of radiation treatments, I'm hopefully back up to speed. Silver Monkote, which has been sanded with either 360 grit W&D or 800 grit W&D has been applied with the "grain" running in differnent directions to try to simulate dissimilar panels. Takes a little time to cut out all of the panels.

All of the pieces are finally together. Used a canopy off of a Guillows T-bolt. Haven't decided on the scheme yet. One of the other RCr's wants me to put MonoKote on it. Never done that before. Hmmm.
