| scigs30 | 18-May-25 23:18 | | Well, the in laws have left and I was able to finish the Comet Cub today. The only modifications to the kit was replacing the white tissue with yellow tissue and using black tissue for the black decals. By the way, adding tissue decals with dope thinner is the easiest way to trim out a model. I know there are many ways to make this a better model but this is nostalgia. I did print the Cub decal on paper and glued it to the rudder. Also, the Cub engines are the printed folded ones on the plans and I painted them with Testors enamel paint. Final weight as shown is 46 grams. Next is the trim flights. Not a perfect build but hey the kit is over 50 years old. |
