jerry campbell | 23-Mar-11 05:43 | I'm having trouble with the canopy, the candy plastic is clouding in the oven, I suspect the plastic may be too thick. I'll keep trying. Everything else is going OK. I now start papering. |
Creosotewind | 23-Mar-11 09:51 | Nice looking build so far, Jerry. I always thought the 262 looked like a shark. It must have been quite an eye opener for the allied pilots when they first encountered them in the air. |
supercruiser | 25-Mar-11 21:32 | The clouding may be from the type of plastic you are using.
I have had similar problems. The clear plastic for some candy boxes and toys works well.
Check out Mike Stuart's free-flight webisite. He is in the UK,try a google search. He explains canopy making. |
jerry campbell | 26-Mar-11 03:23 | I'm sure you are right about the clouding, and I'm also having problems with the the sides being to thin. I think I'm allowing the plastic getting too hot. I'm glad the, Heinkel came out perfect the first time so I know it can be done. I'm just going to keep experimenting until I get it right, meanwhile the candy is very enjoyable. |
