| Looking to me like you placed the tape on the INSIDE of the canopy....I always put mine on the outside. |

| i put it on the outside its just hard to notice. i think what i might do is take solite covering an cut out tiny strips and put them on it with a covering iron... |

| Consider a technique from the Master...David Duckett....purchase some liquid masking. Paint it on, after drying,lightly score with a hobby knife and peel off those areas that you want to paint. Also there is available a very narrow trim tape that will work well. I've used both methods with success. (Will the covering iron melt/soften the plastic??) |

| it wasn't my idea to do the solite covering thing. it was James Good's idea. he seems to know what he is doing as well as you and david duckett. i think i am going to stay with the solite idea because frankly i am done with buying more stuff that i don't really need. thanks for the advice. i might do that on another plane i build. |

| I've found that simple masking tape painted and cut into the proper width is a very effective way to do this and in many cases the easiest way to achieve a clean look. The lines on the canopy of my Dornier 335 are all masking tape. |
