| The kit provides a block for the air intake. I decided to add a DF loop and drop tank. The tank is balsa and the under belly rack and DF loop attachment are bass wood, which a little more difficult to work but finishes so much easier. The DF loop is brass |

| Have you ever tried Jelutong wood? It is very similar to balsa, but harder. Very easy to carve and takes a finish as well as or better than Bass wood. Jelutong is a pattern makers wood. |

| I usually got Jelutong from a couple of lumber suppliers that has exotic and hardwoods. I have located one here in the Kansas City area that carries Jelutong, but in S. California there were a number in the greater LA area. I will be happy to send you some to try. I have a quantity in my cut off box. I'm not quite sure how we can make connections with addresses.
