| David Duckett | 03-Feb-16 04:12 | | A factor to consider when wet covering is the humidity. The humidity is always higher in the house than outside so covering open framework must be done inside. Outside it's simply too dry and will dry the dope before the silkspan adheres to the frame. On solid models everything gets doped so covering can be done outside. The advantage is that things dry quickly but the disadvantage is that you have to work fast. It's exactly the same on canvas. |
