While researching the Ascender I found these plans from Model Airplane News, August, 1948. These plans and a block of balsa were supposed to get you a scale model of the Ascender. |

I was 8 years old when these plans were printed for modelers to use. Even today with 60 years of experience in building models I wouldn't even consider it. Anyone out there ready for a challenge. |

Not me, but the drawing is very good. Another of my hobbies. |

I'll take the challenge. They look very interesting. What scale do you suggest? |

I have no preference of scale. I'm going to do it in 1/24th scale, because it is what I usually build single engine aircraft in and it what I have a selection of decals in. |

What is the best way to get a copy of those plans? |

Frwflyer - If you e-mail me your address I will mail you copy of the plans. However you will have to have it increased to the size you want. jlc190@verizon.net |

Hello, My email is frwyflyer@gmail.com. As I remember there kind of was a standard size.. 1/48?? I will try to be very faithful to the 1940's modeling techniques. I think it will be fun to try and make something from those plans. THANKS!! |

Can't do it in 1/48. I will make it in 1/32. I need space for my fingers and to see. |
