Almost done, still working on the small details. Cant wait to fly my bird. I have not had much luck with Guillow decals so I made my own. |

How do you make them? |

I am real lucky and own an Alps printer. I bought two off Craigs list some time back and have been stocking up on inks. |

One more Question, Why isn`t your bf 109 finished |
scigs30 | 08-Mar-08 20:46 |
The BF109 was a complete overhaul build. I did not use anything from the kit except the decals and canopy. I still have to cover the rudder and stab. Some minor detail work and it will be done. The BF109 is a light build. I was going to build all the 500 series this way but after the Wildcat and BF109 I was burnt. It takes a lot of time and effort to revamp a Guillow kit. If I don't do a lot of mods I can finish a kit in a couple of weeks. |

Hello Sciggs30. What a great tutorial on balsa weight from die cut vs. lasercut, and how to glue those pesky fillets on. I will remember scalloping or scalping the formers for that nifty neat tissue covering for the fuse on my next model. I only get about 14 seconds of flight from my Sig Cabinaire -thanks for the inspiring flying tips. I'll post the pics of my display die-cut FW 190 soon. |
