| I'm going to let the yellow cure for another day or two before I mask and paint the red stripes into the chevron and waist bands. I think I'll use decals on the rudder striping.
This has been challenging project for a couple of reasons..but the kit itself is VERY good. IF anyone is thinking of building the C3B from Flyline I can recommend it fully. |

| I like the drawings you found! thank you for including them with the kit.
Beginning with the Grumman Bearcat the blue used was much lighter than current. It seems to have changed (always darker) a few times since then. I remember seeing them in the F4's and A4's at Miramar and it was somewhere in the middle..but try to find any listing, or timeline - or the RLM numbers for the different blues seems impossible. |
