| parts from a plastic kit. I might be able to use the plastic landing gear as well. I also ran across a metal landing gear for a 1/24th Huricane. There just might be some after market stuff showing up for 1/24th scale plastic kits that are useful to Diels kits. Of course these will weight, but if you are not flying... |

| Nice neat job!!! Any tips for cutting notches without breaking off the shoulders??.....with the grain is usually pretty easy, but cross-grain can be tasking. Thanx, JGJ |

| The only advice I can give is to start with a new #11 blade and a new single edge razor blade. You will just have to gain experience and confidence, however you will still break off a few shoulders. I use super glue for repairs. But remember I am noted far and wide for having very poor eye-hand coordination. I also keep a sanding block handy to trim the edges before I start cutting notches. Good Luck and please post some build fotos of your build. I kind of enjoy cutting the parts. I just wish I could start building the Tomahawk now. I've put the cut parts into the box for the next six weeks or so. |

| X-Acto #11 and a single edge razorblade are my weapons of choice. I, too, sand edges utilizing an emery board rather than sandpaper b/4 notching.........Thanx, JGJ |

| JohnG - yes, I got my square file at the LHS. It's about 3/32" square at it's widest, and tapers to a point at the tip. |
