I'm starting to like this spinner scheme. Tried two different masks for first coat with same bleeding results. DD, any ideas? Found tape forms to ellipse but releases on tighter side each time. |

Ahh! now I see what you meant by the heliologicalabalistic spinner%@#. I love it, nice touch Moos. ;-) |

DD wouldn't try this. |

DD, perhaps a complete liquid mask, then tape mask folowed by a liquid mask removal. This is an actual SOS. Open to any and all suggestions. |

Maybe one of the paint markers that are sold. The spinner goes on a slow turntable, painted your base color, and while it turns slowly "free hand the spiral with the paint marker...again just a thought! |

Moos, just a thought, could you cut masking tape in a spiral laid flat that would wrap around the spinner?
Maybe some math involved or a paper template. Only thoughts, I've never tried this. |

Moos, paint spinner lightest color first, use a pencil to make spirals, when you are satisfied, then free hand paint. |

The darker color, of course. |

hjlittman (aka kittyfritters) just posted here about how he uses Guillow's kit tissue (sealed then coated with adhesive) as a masking tape for contoured surfaces. |

Thanks for all your input. After a long wet day at work I cane home and with an exaxto #11 gently picked off any blck seepage. If I was able to freehand the green between the masked yellow on the Lib this little spinner wasn't going to break me. Touched up the white and redid another coat of black. Will post photos after I mount the variable pitch props. |
