The evenings entertainment when building a Diels kit. It may look imposing when first veiwed, but it really is not that bad. It goes quickly and you get extremely familiar with the parts. Of course I started this way when I was a kid building Comet Models. I never used the services of Cleveland Models though, has anyone out there ever worked off of Cleveland plans or built a Cleveland kit. I use to look at the pictures of what was available and dream.

Printed only, you cut them out.......

Working steadily at it you will spend about 4 to 5 hours. Besides a new #11 blade you also must have a single ege razor blade. The razor blade is used to cut th stringer notches. I takes me longer because I move to the computor or relax at the tube for aa while, while I'm cutting.

O.K...Printed does not necessarily deter me. They have the model I am considering............Thanx JGJ

I know the feeling John, the ww2 subject matter is what led me to Diels kits, and of course the constant 1/24 scale. I've also found an interesting site for ww2 color schemes, while it is far from finished their is still a great deal of information. michael-reimer.com

John, I really enjoy building a diels kit. Even though you have to cut all the parts out, you can be assured that all the parts will fit together as advertised. I also sand as much of the black ink off the part - before assembly. I don't like the nik showing through the tissue. Just started the Diels Brewster Buffalo, but I don't have the plane listed in my hanger to post it.

I am still a solid Guillows fan, but while their selection of kits is not necessarily limited, other companies offer other options for selection. Appreciate all the input from you folks.....Thanx, JGJ
