Products used for finish: NHP Micro-Fill, Hobbylite Balsa filler, TopFlite white primer(sandable). |

I use balsa fill first, then primer, then Micro Fill(micro balloons) to fill any flaws. I also use the Micro fill for wing fillets. You can shape it while moist and when dry, sands easily. |

Aha! Many thanks. I'm a stock holder in the Hobbylite filler co. although I use white. I will most definitely get some Micro Fill, as well. Thanks for sharing. |

poppy...is there anything like "bondo" for cars. A putty like material that hardens, then can be shaped by filing or sanding. |

Go to www.squadronproducts.com . They have a product called Green Putty, $2.98 a tube, that will probably be just what you need. Squadron models site has just about anything from anywhere that you need for modelling. |

But they do not seem to have wood models. By the way, a little H20 mixed with Micro ballons makes spreading easier and also makes it go further. Doesn't take much however. |

John, another source for spot putty and primer is a good auto parts store. DupliColor makes a good filler/primer (aerosol can). I also use automotive spot putty. |

plasticbuddha....Playing with some Bondo spot putty. Works pretty well. My finger is the best applicator! Right now the Mig looks like deficant. Waiting for it to dry and tomorrow I will clean it up. "Tanks!" |

Ed, Hobbylite balsa filler, comes in balsa and white colors, are a fair substitute for Micro-Fill. Sands well, apply the same as Micro-Fill. |
