John M Oshust | 19-Dec-07 16:47 | Me thinks I must build a plane with an exposed radial...like the Stearman. Do you guys have any other suggestions? |
jgood | 19-Dec-07 17:01 | How about a Ford Trimotor? Three times the exposed radial fun there! |
John M Oshust | 19-Dec-07 18:12 | Never thought of that. THREE times the "Fun" of engine building.I have plans for a martin BM-2 dive bomber, circa 1935. LG similar to the Spirit, exposed engine, and a rear gunner....maybe??? |
moostang51 | 19-Dec-07 18:14 | real sharp looking aicraft that will afford you a lot of detail work would be a Gloster Gamecock. A pair of lower wing mounted Vickers MGs, wind driven generator, long under fuse exhaust pipes and of course strutted indercarriage with spoke wheels. Should provide you with lots of "fun". |
John M Oshust | 19-Dec-07 18:23 | Moose...just Goggled it and you are correct. I must seek a kit, unlikely, or plans, currently this is runnung # 1....thanks. |
John M Oshust | 19-Dec-07 23:16 | James...I think you have the winner. I found plans to build a Ford Tri-motor with a 56 inch span. This is running #1...thanks for the idea!! |
