| Hey poppy have you ever seen a picture of the B model that they put a hasty observers seat in the rear of the cockpit and on july 4th 1944 Maj. Gen. Pete Quesada flew Gen. Eisenhower (Observer) around the area of St. Lo for a sort of recon mission before D-Day? |

| Yes Barnstormer, I believe it was painted a red primer color. The event was called "the day the stars looked down". Ike was strapped in and canopy bolted on. No way to get out in event of emergency. He was forbidden by Gen. Marshall to repeat this performance. |

| Yes poppy, as I recall it was a red primer color, and both Gen. Quesada and Gen. Eisenhower were reprimanded by Gen. Bradley for there so called joy ride. I say what would the outcome of the war in europe have been if these two had not went for this "Joy Ride". |
