Looking good,Jedi. Do I see another convert to wood covering?

I think it's Micro-Fill. See what you started, Poppy? THANKS!!!!!!! And yes, it's looking sweet.

As Prez Tricky Dick Nixon used to say "I want to make this perfectly clear....Moostang is not a convert." On the Mess build, I used balsa sheeeting only again to develop a better skill at it. Not close yet but getting better. With the fabrication of wheel wells and the underwing thingies on it, sheeting seemed the way to go. My next build the B-25 will be silkspan covered.

Whatever makes the boat float is good for me. Some models work well and demand silkspan and others, wood. The balsa covering works best on the larger models. DD's method of extra stringers is the only way to go for tissue or silkspan covering, unless you are building a flyer. That's a whole different method from hanger queens.

Beautifully said Poppy. Agree with all 100%.

Well guy's ....im not as good as you all are with the extra stringers so I used "Spackle" yeah you heard right ...its heavy as heck but it looksreally smooth .

Try DAP Fast 'n Final. It's a lightweight spackling that seems to be the same stuff as the better "plastic balsa" type fillers, only 1/3 the price.
