I am all done with this build. Final weight is at 24 grams. She has a nice glide but I cannot fly until the rain passes. I did not have much luck with the Guillows decals so I made my own. |

Nicely done. 24 grams is pretty good for a stock build. Is all the balsa from the kit? I like how neat your removable nose block is. |

She's a beauty. Very nice. It almost seems a pity to risk such a masterpiece in flying, but I'm sure you'll suceed. How did you get the canopy so precise? It's a real work of art! |

Ah yes, very nice canopy. Shades of the 500 Stuka....very tedious. |

Yes all the balsa is from the kit. What I do know is I buy my kit a month or two before I build. This way if the wood is of poor quality I have Guillows send out a new piece. I must say the quality of wood lately is up there with Dumas. Of course I will fly the Avenger once the rain stops. For the canopy I use strips of Tamyia tape, the best stuff for masking. |

This is really nice, does anyone know of a larger kit? |

Dare (www.darehobby.com) has a 41" span kit. Diels (also available from Dare) have a 27" span Avenger. |

Looks great! I too have not had the best luck with Guillows decals. |
