The extra added stringers had passed Elevatoranj's inspection . . .now I can get ready for the tissue paper. |

Nice job. If you can though, use dope to attach and seal. When you go to paint, you'll be extremely glad you did. After a spanking from DD, I'll never mix white glue and dope again. |

Nice job. Ditto on the dope. And do not be sparse with the dope when sealing. |

I've learned a lot about building planes from this website. What's the pros of using dope as opposed to white glue? Does it really make a difference when the plane gets covered with tissue paper anyway? |

As A kid my uncle always used dope....wondered why I was alwyas "happy". I used Elmer's on my Camel. It worked well and W/O the aroma/ My Mig no tissue, no dope! The next build....methinks dope....rekindel dead brain cells from me youth! |

It took me 34 years to get off the 'Dope' why do you think I have so much time to build planes and hold Marcia's feet to the fire, On inspections. LOL |

What are the advantages of sealing with dope, I have never tried that. also Novice builder and I are going to visit the Rhinebeck air museum this coming weekend and would be glad to get close up pics of any planes that we can get next to and E-mail them to those that want them. I can't find the website that you can see all the planes on but I'm sure Marcia will post the site here after she gets out of work. |

Elevatoranj, type in oldrhineckaerodrome.com. When I lived in NY, I visited there in early spring and the weather was uncooperative for flights. Great just walking through the hangars though. |

What elevatoranj neglected to say was that I INSPECT HIS PLANES ALSO for any inperfections! - LOL.
The actual home page for the Rhinebeck Aerodrome can be found at www.oldrhinebeck.org. You can e-mail either one of us if you want any pictures. |

I am also planning an excursion the Rhinebeck. $50.00 gets you a ride in a Bi-plane. Pictures of their Camel would be appreciated! |
