1/48 decals VF-111 Sundowners arriver from FlightDecs sometime last week, the rudder decals are a little undersized for my model, so they will have to be painted on. The "stickers" above are from the kit.

Wood is of excellent quality. Nice plan, but formers are missing as usual.

Here is my Comet kit, Jenny, copyrighted 1965, with a 24" wingspan that was recently bought at a swap meet for $1. There were some common structural pieces missing, no wheels, but most of the diecut pieces were there. Will be posting my build of this Jenny probably by next month.

The models were build from Cleveland plans. The structure was largely plywood with ribs and stringers added so that the fabric covering looked real. They weighed about 15 pounds. My son now is in charge of the Boeing office in South Korea building f 15s for the Saudis and Koreans.

I was going through a box of old photos and thought I'd share this. It is an 8 foot Spirit of St. Louis that my son and I made for a company that made displays for museums and corporate events. We built two models. This one was towed across and auditorium ceiling on a cable. At the approproiate time a spot light was shined on the model then the motor started (electric, started by RC) and the PA made motor sounds). It worked fine and its now on display in the Science Museum. We made a second on which was the center piece in buffet table for a corporate party. It was a better model since it had to be seen up close
