Rigging. Evergreen makes half-round thin strips that will serve as steel rigging on almost all biplanes made after the First World War. They are 14 1/4" in length and different sizes. These were chosen for the S.E. 5.

Rayl inspired me! Pretty strange but effective motor mount. It achieved the correct right and down thrust. The offset geometry aligned the prop shaft dead center at the cowl (well, soon to be) exit for the spinner.

Found out the real aircraft wingspan measures 26 feet 7 inches, but the kit's wingspan is 24." What's even a bit more "interesting" is the kit provides decals for the fuselage roundels that are slightly bigger than the scale drawing. I carefully placed the ruler such that you can easily see the difference in dimensions. Had to order custom decals from John Brantley.
