Making the compass that will be the center piece of the instrument panel. Memo to all: its one of those "wish I knew then moments" but Mr. John Brantley who makes custom decals for us modelers will also gladly make custom decals for instruments for any particular aircraft as well.

Squint who thinks the only flying thing worth her attention is a bird and that workshops are dirty and dusty.

Seems like it's time to post wings. Laser cut does go together nicely. Added extra stringers (5 per wing) and for simplicity, except for one row on the bottom, they are all 11X30 mm.

For Julnik who asked about a canopy. A lot of work will be required before it's actually glued in place!

The wing is almost complete. I've added some radiussed(?) gussets to some joints that looked susceptible to breakage. And a couple just for looks.

I thinned the filler and used a palette knife to apply it to the wings. It sanded smooth fairly easily so I did the same thing on the jet intake/fairing areas. This first application is to smooth all the sections together and the top and bottom sections will get it next. When all 3 sections are done the whole thing will get an application of filler. This will dry overnight until about 11 tomorrow morning when it should be warm enough to go outside.
