The larger styrene tube (red) was cut to fit the depth of the hole. I used the smaller tube to align it to the correct angle and then CA'd it in place. The landing gear will now easily fit and once glued will be quite strong. This is an easy method for those who fly their models without landing gear but want to display it with the gear down.

This is a much simplified version of the actual landing gear but the kit is engineered for flight. The styrene was notched to hold the wire in place and to establish the bottom of the LG door.

These are styrene tubes, part of a pack of tubes and rods. The wire fits inside the 1/8" tube and was CA'd and kicked. The red piece is also styrene.

There are many talented modelers on this site but I suspect there are many more to whom a box of balsa and plans are a complete mystery. Here are some hints for the less confident.:-) The shaft of the prop blade is a weak point so I strengthened it by inserting a pin into it. This is best done after initial shaping.
