Working over the same plan, I pinned down my keel and working from back to front, using my right angle tools I put in the formers, after I put the 1/16" square side keel on I took the falf shell off the plan and used the popsicle stick and smalll clamp method to put the other half of the fromers on. |

I changed it to half shell construction with 1/16" squared keels and preceeded to laser cut new parts |

The article calls for building it on a crutch, freehanded, from the wings out. I decided that the way the build was described in the 1938 article was insale so I decided to build it on a proper crutch using the same plan. I have to problems with horizontal crutch fuselages but this one still proved problematic and after II had the formers glued in and cur the crossmembers out of the crutch before putting the 1/32" square stringers on I realized that I was buildg a banana so I changed plan. |

I started with the cowl. I laminated it the way the plan called for but I like to make it removable and I like trapizoidal keys. Chucked up in my Dremel drill press isanding it to shape was short work. |
