On only 1/2 winds (about 400 turns), this little sucker took off straight up and circled, ending up on my roof. 1st time for THAT experience. By doing the hollow tail feathers, I was able to take out over 3 grams of clay out of the nose. I learned that I was not winding my rubber motors properly, and now I'm getting better power and speed out of the plane. I think the rudder was damaged on the previous flight when it flew into a tree at a good clip. I checked it over but missed the crack in the rudder. Oh well. It gave me a chance to replace the solid tail feathers with lighter ones of my own design. Now I'll be able to take some nose weight out of it so it'll be going even FASTER when it crashed next time!!!
