How many out there remember Captain Blackhawk and the Blackhawk Squadron fighting tyranny and oppresion. It is an interesting scheme . My wife looked up the comic books and found a lot of them for sale on e-bay.

This us my first build from Cleveland plans and I find them a bit of over engineered. The single sheet of XF5F-1 Skyrocket are no ecception. Before starting I made a second set so I could read the instructions on the sheet while building.

The nose with the desert filtered ram air intake the most interesting part of this E-7, of course the capped spinner identifies the E-7 pedigree.

The markings of Black 8 are from a variety of sheets in my rather extensive decal collection. Even so I had to make the black 8 with a red border.

Finished the black 8 in North Africa. One of the reasons I build so many Luftwaffe aircraft is the color schemes and this is a prime example. The 109 solldiered in every area of the European Theater and sprorted the color schemes.
