After extensive study, I was able to remake the prop to closely match a prop used on Sop Tripes. This I can live with and I did not have to make anoter prop, only modify my first attempt.

Neat cable from the craft shop. Stainless beading cable...plastic covered. Looks like twisted cable, flexible, and very strong. Held tight by crimped ferrules made from small diameter Al tubing. Looks real. This material should make great control cables for flying models.
