I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

On the BE, the guns could be pointed forward or straight upward. Without the benefit of sights, it seems that they were intended for “Belly shots” at Zeppelins.

The pilot could raise and lower the guns through a lever and cable system in order to change the ammunition canisters.

This frame will eventually mount the guns to the center section of the upper air foil.

Gents, Fortunately I did save a comparison photo. Neither gun pictured here is complete. The top gun is the inferior design. The bottom a rendition closer to that of a Lewis Gun. The two Gumby guns go into the ”Magic Box”!

An error in air foil, AKA wing, construction caused a delay in Lewis gun fabrication. I cannot blame Gumby for the construction mistake. I solely take the blame for the plan misinterpretation and framing error. However, all is okee do kee now. The airfoils, or the parts or surfaces, such as a wings, propeller blades, or rudders, that interacts with a flow of air to provide stability, rotation, lift, or thrust seem to match.

Of course this is the first fitting. Now we can rest easy as the structural my miscalculation has been remediated.

"Lettuce" see if Gumby can come up with a couple of these.

Very similar to when I repeatedly hit my head with a 2x4...... it feels so good when I stop! The wing framing is history. The only kit wood remaining are the struts and aileron linkages.
