Tiger Moth G-APMX is now back on wall - in flying attitude. Notice the safety harness's blowing back in the slip-stream! |

My Tiger Moth model was badly damaged yesterday! It crashed from it's hanging place in my garage. Many broken parts. Still I did intend to replace the rubberised rigging "wires"! This will make me do that! :-) |

I have to say that this build is not a DD beauty - but I'm enjoying the hit &miss method that I'm taking. The one big thing that has come out of this project is that there are no "true" plans of the Q6 Petrel to be found on the internet! Every one that I found differed from each other, and if you compare them to photographs of the real thing you find that a huge amount of guesswork has been done. Using the small scale plan that I found (back in the 60's in the UK) has given me some problems too when I look at the real Q6 pics that are public domain. |
