John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 28-Feb-09 15:05 | | Views : 650 | Klaus II hangs for display. To fit the wings I assembled, disassembled, and sanded the mount nine times until everthing fit into place. |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 28-Feb-09 15:01 | | Views : 675 | The wings here are dry fit. When all torsion forces are correct, all wings are "happy!" The fabric covering on the upper surface lays flat with out wrinkling. |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 28-Feb-09 14:58 | | Views : 748 | If I am nery quiet I can hear the epoxy molecules form and harden as they permanently bond the lower wing to the fuse. This time aroung my multiple errors from Klaus I are gone. The fit of the wings falls into place. My measuring stick tells me that they are true. The correct fit makes the eveil wing fillet a much easier task, either for today or tomorrow! |

John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 26-Feb-09 14:41 | | Views : 714 | The wings are complete. The middle wing has been sealed. Makes the poly-span transparent. |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 26-Feb-09 14:39 | | Views : 683 | Atrimmed wing in a half hour. Poly-span ranks up there on my WOODY list. Matches fire arms, antique tractors, gardening, and thong panties! |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 26-Feb-09 14:36 | | Views : 773 | Just when I thought I knew everything that cases me to get a "WOODY!", along comes poly-span. The upper wing covered in one piece! |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 26-Feb-09 12:10 | | Views : 728 | The middle wing is covered. Now that I have learned how to use this covering, on the the upper and largest wing. |
John M Oshust | AerodromeRC Pfalz Dr I | Build | 26-Feb-09 12:06 | | Views : 824 | Me thinks the results speak for themselve. If you follow the natural curl of the poly-span the dull, fuzzy side, will always be down. |
