The rudder has been painted with the French national colors and the Croos of Lraine has been added in red. The swastika was over painted with a white circle which will be seen in decals.

The D.520 flew with the French airforce in 1940, the paint of which can be seen on the wings. Captured by the Germans the French roundels have been over painted with light blue on the wingtips.
